12 Tips for making a youtube video go viral

How to make a YouTube video go viral

You created a channel and uploaded videos, but the views are not coming. What could be the reason for this?
Youtube Video Viral
This is because there are many other people making videos on the same topic that you have made a video on. The title you wrote is the same title many other people are writing. So in this situation, you can bring your video up in YouTube searches only with good SEO.

What is YouTube SEO? And what are its benefits?

YouTube SEO (SEO) is the process by which you can optimize your videos and bring them up in search results. Because people search through keywords, you should research keywords and use them in your video titles, descriptions, and tags. Not only words but also videos have to be made on the topics.

How does YouTube rate videos?

YouTube uses its own algorithm to rank videos in its search results. in which he looks at the words used in the title, description, and tags of the video. Similarly, to understand how good a video is, the YouTube algorithm evaluates the watch time, views, likes, and comments of a video and evaluates how important and good the video is, hence the evaluation. As a result, it gives it status. video, whether it is first, second, or third.

YouTube also looks at the past history of each channel while ranking it. But YouTube treats all channels equally when it comes to SEO.

Important points you need to keep in mind:

  1. Type a few words about the topic you want to make a video into YouTube search, and then see what YouTube shows, the most searched words on that topic will appear at the top.  You save these words to yourself and then make a video on the same topic, make the words the title of the video, write the tags and description of the words.
  2. You go to the major channels that make videos on the same topics, see their top videos, see what keyword topics and videos they have made, choose the keywords, and make videos for them.

Consider the following examples to understand this:

  • I search the word "breaking news" in a YouTube search, then YouTube filters all videos related to breaking news and shows you on the screen the ones with good views and the ones with channel rank. Now if I make a video related to breaking news, YouTube will filter my video by excluding high-ranking videos; it's impossible. Words that are just the beginning of any topic, such as breaking news, no longer know what breaking news the searcher wants to see; YouTube then filters out videos related to breaking news. But in this search, YouTube doesn't show small channels or low-ranked videos in its search list.
  • Another example is if I search for "Today's breaking news: military operations in Afghanistan." In this search topic, I am providing information to the search engine about breaking news related to military operations in Afghanistan. So now the YouTube search engine starts filtering all the news related to the military operation in Afghanistan and brings them to the search list. Videos of low-ranked channels can also be seen in this search topic. Provided that these channels have used words like "military operation in Afghanistan" in their tags, keywords, descriptions, titles, etc., now SEO works in this search. Ranks and opinions are irrelevant here. Any channel or video here does good SEO; their video will appear in the top list. This video should not have a single view.
  • A third example is if I give the search engine full information in the search box; for example, I search for "military operation breaking news, week ten, channel name." In this search, I have provided complete information that I want the breaking news of the same week and that I want to watch this news from a particular channel. Now YouTube will bring up your desired video. And top search will also show other videos that are related to that topic.

SEO through Title, Description, and Keywords.

You go to the big channels that make videos of the same topics, see their top videos, and see which titles and videos they have made based on the words. You also choose the words and make videos.
  1.  Optimize your video title: Optimizing the title means formatting the letters well, capitalizing the first letter of each word. For this purpose, you can also use a small tool called TitleCase It! Is. Optimizing the title also means making your title SEO-friendly so that your video ranks well and gets more views. When creating your video title, take some time to check the titles of videos similar to your video in a YouTube search and then choose a good title.
  2. Improve the video description: Write a detailed description of the video and explain what you talked about in the video. If possible, write a summary of the video in the description. One of the benefits of writing a detailed description is that this description also shows up in Google's search results, thus improving your video's Google ranking. When writing the description, also repeat words related to the topic of the video, try to have relevant words in the first two lines, and write in a way that sounds natural, not artificial.
  3.  Improve your video CTR: CTR stands for click-through rate. That is the percentage of people who click on your video after watching it. For example, if your video was seen by 100 people but 25 people clicked on it, that means your CTR is 25%. Now the question arises: how can we improve CTR?

How to improve CTR:

  • Optimize your thumbnail: If the video is very good but its thumbnail is useless, then very few people will click. The thumbnail is the face of your video; the more beautiful and attractive it is, the more chance it will get clicked.
  • Video length: Also, pay attention to the length of your video to improve CTR. Because the minutes of the video are also visible with a thumbnail, people decide whether to click or not by watching the minutes of the video in addition to the thumbnails. If someone wants to know the details of something, he also watches long videos. But if someone wants to know the answer to a question, he likes a short video. So it is important to take care of these things.
  • Related keywords or tags: Below the video, there is also space to add tags, just like you have to write the title and description of the words related to the title of the video and also write some tags for related words. Search engines also evaluate tags when searching for something, so having tags is important to improve a video's SEO. While writing the tags, also take care of their order, i.e., write the most important word tags first and then write the rest in the same order. You can write as many tags as YouTube allows, but it is also important to keep in mind that if you write too many tags, it will be difficult for search engines to decide whether your video is relevant.
  • Add Hashtag to Description: Hashtag is a very popular thing that you should know about. Hashtags are widely used on Twitter and Facebook. You can also use hashtags in the title and description of a YouTube video. Many people search by hashtag. When using hashtags, make sure to use two or three hashtags at most.
  • Try increasing the watch time. One of the key factors in YouTube ranking is watch time. That is, how long do people watch your video? YouTube's monitoring system notes your video views, likes, subscribers, and watch time, and then calculates your average watch time to rank you accordingly. The only thing that increases view time is your ability; the more good, useful, and informative videos you create, the more view time you will get. When the viewing time is high, the rating will also be good. Invite your viewers to subscribe to your channel and like the video. Comment about the video. Because many people are ready to do all this but don't remember, you must remind them once. Another important thing is not to make the introduction of the video too long, but to start talking about your topic immediately after the greeting.
  • Increase viewer interest: Success is not if you get thousands of views on a video and then it ends, but real success is getting good views on each of your videos. Or you can say that once they watch your video, they should come back to watch another video. YouTube's monitoring system also notes whether your viewer watches many of your videos or leaves after watching just one video. If someone stops watching a video and then doesn't watch a video for a few days, YouTube's system automatically removes your video from that viewer in the future. To solve this problem, you have to make interesting videos. You can also stream episodic videos so that the viewer can wait for the next episode.
  • Create Chapters of Videos: YouTube has also provided the facility to create chapters of videos. That means you can split any of your videos into different parts. For example, what is the talk in the first two minutes, then what is the talk in the next three minutes, then what is the talk in the next one minute? Creating chapters this way is easy for visitors, and they also like it because it saves people time.
  • Use subtitles: YouTube also allows you to use subtitles in other languages in your video. By using this, people who don't understand your language can read and understand the subtitles. This way, your video will get more views.
  • Use end screens and cards: You can use up to five cards in your video. That is, while referencing another video of yours, you can provide a link to that video that can be clicked to view that video. Similarly, you can add a link to your other videos or channel in the last fifteen seconds of your video, called the end screen.
  • Promote the video: YouTube also encourages you to share your video link on various social media sites or embed the video on a blog or website. By taking advantage of these features of YouTube, you can reach more people with your video. One way to promote videos is to run paid ads. If you have the financial capacity, you can also advertise by running paid ads on YouTube or any other platform.

Clear up the misunderstanding.

A huge misconception that is often shared by YouTubers is that sharing videos does not get views. That is, if you share videos on WhatsApp, Facebook, or YouTube, YouTube knows from which link the visitor came to your channel.

This is not the case at all. YouTube itself wants you to share videos so people can get visitors to YouTube from other sites. If so, why would YouTube provide a share link facility? This is a misunderstanding. In the beginning, new channels have fewer videos and no subscribers, so such channels will do well in SEO, but it takes time to rank the videos. It is a better option for such people to get views by sharing their videos on social platforms, so that YouTube's monitoring system will also filter videos from new channels and show them in the search list.
